Black woman- you cry silent tears to hold onto the image of being tough and strong. You love, love and love. You love so much you overlook red flags because of love. But your inability to address red flags is the very reason your cup has become empty. Don’t you realize you need nurturing too?
Black woman- you’ve enabled them, you’ve pacified the behavior, you’ve silently said that this is ok. You’ve silently held onto the confusion. Don’t you realize you need nurturing too?
Put yourself first for a change. Do things that make you feel at ease, that make you smile, that make you cry tears of joy.
Why, because it’s simple Black woman, you need nurturing too!
