"I want you to know that everyone does not deserve to be in your space..."

Written by Dear Black Woman Sarah

Hey girl,

There's so much I could say to you but I want to start by saying that I love you, I truly do and I'm so proud of the woman you are becoming. I know we have our ups and downs but I'm invested in the process of growing with you and continuing to learn to love and appreciate every aspect of who you are.

You truly are remarkable. At times you fail to acknowledge just how much you have accomplished, just how amazing you are, sometimes dimming your light to make others around feel..."comfortable." Stop doing that! You are, brilliant, beautiful, kind, loving, thoughtful, powerful, talented, and so much more. Acknowledge it and celebrate it. It's what makes you who you are.

These characteristics of yours are also what draw people to you, but I want you to know that everyone does not deserve to be in your space or share your energy.

God told you this a while ago but I want to remind you to "stop nourishing relationships that you're the only one pouring into." You're always the giver. Giver of advice, love, support, and encouragement but it's important to take note of when you're not receiving that in return.

These characteristics of yours are also what draw people to you, but I want you to know that everyone does not deserve to be in your space or share your energy.

Nevertheless, don't let this world change you, making you cold or bitter, that is not who you are. Continue to be a light.

Love you!
