"Validation is for parking. It isn’t a box you are required to check..."

Validation is for parking.

It isn’t a box you are required to check that confirms your sense of self. It’s not a prize that you win IF you live up to self-imposed & assumed expectations or opinions that nobody asked for.

Validation isn’t your friend, and neither is comparison. You know comparison? The one who hangs out with validation and says, “You can sit with us”. Then, without even noticing it, you find yourself stuck “ah-ke-ke-ing” with validation and comparison while you look over your shoulder at self-love and self-acceptance wishing it were those two that had your time instead.

Validation is for parking. It isn’t a box you are required to check that confirms your sense of self.

But what no one tells you is that validation has always been your biggest fan, and has been waiting for YOU to accept THEM this whole time. And comparison? Well comparison has always envied you, and the only thing that will make them happy is for you to doubt the fly-ness that is your very essence.

See the ball is in your court, and it always has been.

Because the validation that you seek holds no weight if it isn’t coming from a place of love that you define by yourself FOR yourself. The comparison that you have measured yourself against is an outdated scale that has never been calibrated correctly to show you how dynamic, creative, unique, beautiful, loving, strong, and perfectly human you are and have always been.

So love yourself, and thru that love accept yourself, and if no one has told you today - I love you exactly as you are.
